I have a question. Order number 2792249 was on dispute for the last maybe two weeks (something like that). Anyways, usually when an order is on dispute, I get some type of a message or even a price change… something. Today, I noticed this order is not on dispute anymore but is under finished status and I haven’t received any messages about it and it doesn’t show up on my financial page.  One thing that stands out about this order is the fact that I emailed in the revised file (on March 7th) and it is not attached (to where I can see). In the past when I have emailed in a file I could actually see that it was uploaded (it usually says something to the extend of by the supporter). However, with this one that never happened, so I guess I was wondering if the customer received that version? I mean I know that the support team is usually really good about that, but I can usually see it. Anyways, I wanted to know the status, as I know that the customer was requesting a partial refund. In addition there are a lot of notes I wrote on the dispute department as well.

2792249 - No need to worry about that case, it has been resolved in your favor - the customer  was indeed too picky. The dispute was closed on March 25th. By the way, I'd like to thank you for your cooperation on his matter and your detailed notes, they were really helpful.

Thanks Gabriel! I kind of confused, if it was found in my favor on March 25th why didn't it show up on my compensated transactions for the pay period on the 1st. I tried contacting the payment department a few over a period of time but haven't heard back.

I am very disappointed with the resolution made concerning Order #2880330. This was a paper that had been written by the customer and my work was to re-write as per the the instructions he/she provided. I spent more than 3 days working on the order and the customer approved it when I uploaded. However, after about two weeks the order was set on dispute status, and eventually cancelled 4 days later. If you compare the original paper that the customer provided to be re-written with the final paper I uploaded, you will find that I did a great job only to be paid nothing.

So I am working on order ##2964547 which was due tomorrow (5/5/13) in the evening my time and imagine my surprise when the evening of 4 may I get an email that I am late and being penalized 25%.  My original order showed the correct time. The support department says that the customer needs the order sooner and thus advanced the deadline 24hrs.  Of course, no notice was sent to me.  The irony is that now, with less than 20hrs to the original deadline, they will have to get a new writer since no one will even reply to my request to remove the fine.

Does this happen often? It does not seem quiet right that I have to be penalized because the customer changed their mind. Moreover, UVO never sent me an email or notice. The support department stated it is my fault for not "checking the status" of the order, but the last time I did on the 3rd, it stated 46hrs remaining. So, somewhere between that T-46 and T-24hrs, they made the change (again, with no notice).

Confused and Penalized in Chicago!

Andrew Blak, I do understand that disputes are a stressful experience for a writer, however please make sure you read what this thread is about. By distracting me with an unrelated post you actually make the dispute resolution longer.

This is a thread for checking overdue disputes. 


If you need to inquire regarding a specific fresh dispute - please do it in a note in that specific order. I hope I am being clear enough.

The order #15441053 is erraniously on dispute. The customer stated in the messages tab that he did not request the order to be on dispute. He simply asked for refund after me explaining to him that the number of pages requested could only lead to a bloated paper since the section had few concepts for discussion. Order #16767769 was on dispute though I understand its resolved but I need a clarification.
I am still disappointed that the customer requested another writer to revise this paper even when I did most of the work. I am certain that the new writer did not meet expectations as there was a new order today among available orders to be revised. and just conveniently, the customer wants the paper I did to be revised as he attached it as his draft. Honestly, I did 90% of the work but I was paid less than 50% of the total amount. If my paper was that bad, then i do not think the customer would come back to use it as his draft when placing a new order to be revised. If he went ahead to dispute the paper, then I think it is wrong to come back here and use the same paper again. in my view, this is quite unfair and am asking that you look into the issue and probably award me more as the comments for revision in the new paper are just minor. this means that I did most of the work that was approved by the professor yet I was less than half of the amount.

I have two orders in dispute.  Although the "38" days hasn't elapsed, I feel compelled to inquire about their status because I have /not/ been given any information about the nature of each customer's respective complaint.

The first order is #53343168, a creative writing composition about cultural re-appropriation for.  It has been in dispute status for 14+ days, and I have only been told that the customer "changed their mind and decided to write the paper themselves".  Other than that, the only thing I've heard from Writers/Support/Dispute Department was that it would be "resolved in two days", but that was several days ago.  If there was some complaint with regards to the zaniness of my paper, all I can say is that it was stressed in the professor's instructions that it's a 'creative writing piece', and the professor pointed to the likes of David Foster Wallace's book "Signifying Rappers". I've read DFW before, and wrote accordingly.  Then again, however, all I'm told is that the customer "decided not to use it".

The second order was #54465570, a series of haikus I wrote a few days ago about various aspects of Florida history.  I had to revise it twice because the customer kept changing the number of haikus they wanted.  They're pretty darn good haikus, and relevant to the prescribed aspects of Florida history.  I have been told nothing about why it is in dispute status, but suspect it is due to the bid being too high after the page count was upped.  In this case, please just lower the bid, if needed, to the fair amount.  After all, haikus with double-spacing isn't a terribly high word count, although I did put a lot of thought and consideration into drafting these haikus.

Anyway, it'd be cool if I could get some info on what's going on behind the scenes with these orders, IE: the nature of the disputes, et cetera.

Other than that, all is good in the world of UVOCorp!

Hello Admin, Order #81489501 has been in dispute status for 8 days. I then noticed a $37.20 fine was applied today. What could possibly have warranted the fine? I gave a quality paper with this order so I do not know what criteria was used to apply a fine to an order that is on dispute status!

Hello Admin, this order was in dispute status for 8 days before a fine was applied. I contacted the PD to highlight the issue but they rejected to remove the fine citing the order history but looking at that history,  there is nothing I did wrong on my part. I kindly request for your intervention in this case to identify the reason(s) behind the fine. Here is a summary of the facts:

1. I delivered the paper on time which the customer approved as shown in the order history.

2. The customer requested for a revision but I was not informed and found the paper was already 4 hours late into the revision.

3. The order was then placed on dispute since according to the customer the answers were not short enough and some were incorrect. I double checked and all the answers were correct. You can verify with any expert in finance.

I believe this order is being handled unjustly and no reasons are being given for the fine which is borderline unethical. I count on your impartial intervention. Thank you!

Hi Admin,
I'm checking the status of order #79140769, which has been on dispute for 30 days and some odd hours. The reason this order appears to have gone into dispute was the deadline. This order had a short deadline. On the instructions it specifically said show the customer the article chosen so that way he could approve it and I could move forward writing the order. If you look at the messages on the order, at 4:43, very shortly after I took the order, I sent the customer a message. Nearly 3 hours later at 7:17 I asked the support department to call the customer, because the deadline was running out and I couldn’t even start working on the order. At 8:29, the customer the customer asked for another article (so- nearly 4 hours after I took the order). At 9:59, I uploaded a file with three different articles for the customer to review. Yes, it did take me 53 minutes to find additional articles, since they all needed to be from the past two weeks (a requirement in the uploaded file). At 10:22, the customer finally decided he liked a specific article. It took me a little bit to answer this message, because I had been waiting for the customer to respond to me all night, and I had jumped in the shower, so yes I was away from the computer for about an hour. However, if you read the message from the customer at 10:22 it states, “Hi Val, Please use this article instead. I can extend the deadline to 12pm pacific time tomorrow.” That is how the deadline got extended for that long, as I was more than willing to stay up into the night and complete the order. However, when the customer sent me that message, and I was unable to complete anything on the order thus far, at 11:43, I forwarded the message to the support team (at 11:43pm) explaining that I was not able to get anything done, even though I had the order for 6-7 hours and the customer was just finally giving me an article/approving an article he liked, and asking the support team to extend the deadline. The file was uploaded before the deadline the customer gave me elapsed, and I heard nothing back from the customer. The order than sat in delivered status for like five days before being forwarded to the dispute department. I’m not really sure why the customer thinks I was unresponsive, as I responded to his messages, and even had to ask the support department to call him (nearly 3 hours after I sent the article) in order to check the article so I could begin writing it. Even then, by the time he responded to the support department’s call and my message it was 4 hours and 15minutes after I receive the order on a six-hour deadline. With that said, the customer set the deadline (detailed in the message) and I informed the support department of the customer’s deadline- so I'm not actually sure why the customer is saying this order was not delivered on time when he set the deadline?

Hello. I would like to raise my concern about the following orders in my dispute tab: #88000851, #87418409, and
#76184281. They have been in dispute for an extended period but I’m yet to hear from the dispute manager. I have provided a detailed explanation for the first two orders where I feel that a dispute was uncalled for. One entailed customer’s change of instructions and when I pointed this out, customer claimed a dispute, which is completely unfair to me as a writer. Being a low season, I would hope that the matter can be quickly resolved so I can receive compensation for the work done. A speedy resolution would be greatly appreciated.

Order #84431559 is running into 52 days in dispute status. I wrote to the support team 3 days ago and I was told they were waiting for the customer to reply. My questions are: regarding what exactly is the customer required to reply to? how long should I wait for the customer to reply? what happens if the customer doesn't reply? All the evidence required to resolve the dispute is already in the uploaded documents and notes history. I do not see the need to keep such an order on dispute any longer than necessary especially during this extremely low season. Besides, isn't it policy to resolve disputes in 30 days?

I find the ongoing tussle regarding Order #102810085 as highly unfortunate. As I have explained to the customer before, I faced some technical issues on that particular night. Nevertheless, I rectified the paper within the time provided and ensured that it addressed the health care systems in China and the US from the beginning to the end. After the revision, the customer has never expressed dissatisfaction with the paper’s content.

What I find very disturbing and highly mischievous is the customer’s persistent allegations that the revised paper was plagiarized. As an experienced Writer and an informed scholar, I believe the customer completely misses the point as to what plagiarism is. Here is what the customer says:
“I took classes on writing and like the first paper, when you put everything in your own words, you don't need to parenthesis and give credit to the author on that paragraph. But when you take a phrase or a quote from an article, you have to quote it and put in parenthesis the author's name.”
From the first statement, customer implies that I do not have to reference/insert in-text citations for borrowed content that is correctly paraphrased. In customer’s view, only quoted material has to be referenced. Is this REALLY true? Of course not! Paraphrasing other people’s ideas and failing to acknowledge them through the use of in-text citations is undoubtedly a form of plagiarism. As far as I know, this is standard practice across all academic circles. This explains my use of in-text citations in the paper. Please note that the topic of health care systems is not common knowledge. No writer/student can take credit in having absolute understanding of the Chinese and American health systems. That’s why I borrowed ideas from other scholars and cited them appropriately throughout the paper. If this was an opinion paper, I would have surely incorporated my own thoughts as part of the analysis. But as per the customer’s instructions, this was a RESEARCH PAPER.

This message also shocked me.
“The customer has uploaded a valid plagiarism report. Because of plagiarism, the order will be fully refunded. You will not be compensated for the work done. Let me know, if any questions arise.”
For the five years I have worked for the company, I have understood that the Support Team ALWAYS check papers for plagiarism before forwarding them to clients. Was this order an exception? If Admin found any traces of plagiarized content, I would have willingly made changes in the paper. Following the insistent plagiarism claims, I subjected the paper to the Turnitin software. Results? 0% similarity index! So, where is the alleged plagiarism report from the customer? The principles of justice demands that I should at least be provided with this plagiarism report to confirm that I indeed faulted.

While customers are king in any business, I believe it is highly unjustified to deny writers their hard-earned money on unfounded grounds. Clearly, this should not be tolerated by the company.

Lastly, I was also surprised that I received double penalties on this order. The order’s bid was $55. Since the order was put on dispute after I had already been paid, a -$55 balance was effected on my financial page. Later, I realized that another negative transaction of -$55 was introduced in my financial page. So, in total, I have a negative balance of -$110. Why is that the case? If I received no payment since the dispute was resolved in the customer’s favor, why another fine of -$55?

Have  you read the subject of this forum thread? It is  for OVERDUE disputes only.  The above mentioned order is off dispute and not overdue.

Case specific claims should be either resolved with note within the orders or in communication with the Finance department.

Order #186693345: Hi, this dispute is at 4 weeks, not quite 30 days, but wasn't sure when I'd have a chance to log on here and relay this information.

This customer was extremely belligerent and aggressive in his complaint, and while I will not concede any merit to his allegations, it was only a simple one-page order, and I would gladly forego payment if that would alleviate the writing service's problems with the customer. HOWEVER - my biggest concern is that I do not want a lost dispute on my record. I have never been found at fault on a dispute and adamantly disagree that I am at fault on this one, but the small payment is not worth a continued contention, from my perspective, with this customer.

So let me know if it would help for me to pass up the payment, if I can still be held not at fault. Thanks.
